Do those automated on line translation programs you see on the web work?
No, those programs are not accurate to say the least.  They give you a translated document that has Spanish words, but it does not make sense.  Basically, the program picks from lists of words programmed into them, randomly picking out a word that might have been intended.  Accurate translation is not that easy.  People are generally not able to read and understand the results of an automated translation program.

Is there any time an automated online translation program does work?
If you already have a command of the Spanish language they can be a research tool.

The hard fact is that a computer program can beat a human at a game of chess, but it has a long way to go before it beats a human at translating documents into an understandable format. 

Why can't just anyone translate my documents?
It takes specialized skill to translate. Because both the English language and the Spanish language are filled with rich and dynamic words and phrases. It takes skill to understand the writer’s intent and then translate that same equal intent from Spanish to English or English to Spanish.  There are indeed lots of people who can do a simple exchange of Spanish and English words, as could a computer program, but only a skilled translator can translate the correct tone and intent in a grammatically correct way.

What do you mean by Neutral Spanish?
Neutral Spanish means using terms that can be understood by any person speaking Spanish in Colombia, Spain, or Mexico, or any other location.  Local slang or colloquialisms that would only be understood by a few people in a specific area are not used.

There are so many people translating, how do I know a good translator from a bad one?
Look for clues to see if a person or company is authentic. One way is to see if they are listed with the Better Business Bureau.  You’ll see that we are listed with the Better Business Bureau.

Another way is to see if the company is registered where they are based. We are a registered business in the State of Minnesota.

When I give you my information what happens with it?
It is secure within our company. We do not sell or give information about our clients to anyone else. Read our Privacy Policy for more information.

How long does my quote take?
We try to respond with a quote within several hours. It could be a bit longer depending on our workload that day, any research we have to do to evaluate the difficulty level of your job, or a shift change.

Do lower prices mean lower quality?
No. We work hard to provide the  best quality translations at the lowest possible price.

3 Fast and easy ways to send documents
1.   FTP site: This is for moving significant amounts of information. For example, several accounts send us around 250 documents per day. Our team accomplishes the translation of this volume in approximately 24 hours. To effectively use FTP, a client firm will program their computers to send documents to our FTP site. We translate the documents and send them back via the FTP process to the client’s site.

2.   Regular email: Great for small to medium sized accounts.

3.   Fax:  When you agree to the quote, we furnish a fax number. Upon receiving your documents, we will scan and translate them to a format like Microsoft Word (.doc), a text format (.txt) or any other format you request.

Yes, we offer and have provided many other languages that you do not see offered on our website. We have translators who contract with us in order to help our customers communicate in many languages. Why should I use your interpreting services?
There are many reasons for using our services.   The most popular reason is that the company, agency or individual wants to save themselves the money to hire a full time interpreter.   Many are using us up to 20 hours per week, while some only use one hour per month, and finally others only need us one time.

How does your telephone interpreting work?
You can use us one time for a half hour minimum charge. However, if you know you will need us more than a half hour one time then set up an account month-to-month, which is a pre-paid account.  Each time you use our interpreting services by appointment, we send you an invoice telling you what time you used and how much time you have left.

Is your interpreting always available?
Our interpreting services are set by appointment only. We have too many staff coming and going to interpreting and translation jobs.  Therefore, one can not just call up and expect an interpreter will be ready to go.  While in some cases you will indeed find someone who could interpret for you, but most times they are out on assignment with government services, business services, as well as private individuals who have an appointment. Please know we do our best to provide you with an interpreter as fast possible.

What would be the best time for me to find an interpreter on staff?
Usually 9:30 am Central Standard Time to 1pm Central Standard Time we have interpreters at the office or could be easily found, but by 2pm they are usually all out on assignment.
